French double chocolate pastry at home in under an hour? Yes please!
The delicious chocolate sweets are fluffy and light and best served with powdered sugar! A full chocolate baton is included for each of the 8 Chocolatines.
Great to freeze once rolled and then bake from frozen when guests are coming! Just add a few minutes to the baking time and voila- Impressive!
Makes 8 Chocolatines
454g
Unbleached flour made of hard red spring wheat from Quebec (Niacin, reduced Iron, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Folate), sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder (sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), sodium bicarbonate, salt. Chocolate Batons (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa fat, soy lecithin, vanillin)
- 1 stick of unsalted butter (113.5 g or ½ cup), chilled and cut into ½ inch cubes ¾ cup
- 2 tbsp cream or ¾ cup buttermilk
- Powdered sugar if desired
